I stayed at a wonderful town house down town Austin and cannot wait to return. These town houses are great, clean and comfortable, so close to
everything – meeting friends at Zax, a nice restaurant in walking distance — good food and great local beer. We went on a bike ride around town lake – got hot -stopped off jumped into the lake and found ourselves swimming along sides turtles, cooled off and our shorts and shirt dry enough, we continued our bike ride – cycling through a huge dog park with lots of happy handsome dogs, running, jumping in and out of the river. After the long bike ride, we took a cat nap —
there after, got dressed – dined at “Perlas” — who’d think, one could have a good fish dinner in the middle of TX. The Halibut is to die for. After dinner, we sauntered to ” The Continental Club” where we listened to good music while sipping Margarita’s. We heard about “The Broken Spoke” and danced the two -step all of the next evening. What a wonderful week-end — waiting for “Southwest Airline” to have another sale.

Perla’s is GREAT! Next time try the new asian restaurant called “Sway” right down the street…
they have community tables so its easy to mingle with Austinites…and super high end decor…
I dont think you can have a bad Margarita anywhere in this town!…. No sweet & sour mix here…..only the real deal real lime and agave nectar
